Salalh is not ready to tourists. a very poor area along the coast, dirty apartments, the food is mostly street food. locals are often not friendly and can be aggressive. Taxi drivers at the airport are generally trash. The local nature is beautiful, but if there is a car. you can't swim from June to October, it's terrible. There are no promenades, parks for walking. There is nothing to see and very expensive prices. In general, I do not recommend it. In my list of countries, this country is in last place.

Salalah is a very beautiful place with amazing nature including mountains, deserts and beach. It has a reach history and culture which is somehow deferment than Muscat with its tribal traditions, delicious food and green areas. Visitors must enjoy picnics on the mountains to see waterfalls and wadis. Special camel meat (Madhbi) is one the best to me as well as many modern restaurants and coffee shops everywhere. Add on that the people of Salalah are very kind and friendly welcome the guest

It was our first time in Salalah and we visited for two days...
It was our first time in Salalah and we visited for two days during the Khareef season. We only had a full day to do one tour and had to make a choice. A longer stay of 5 to 7 days would have been ideal to appreciate all the locations. The weather was a nice respite from the bright hot sun in Kuwait being cool, overcast, and drizzling continuously at times. The mountain roads were heavily shrouded in fog and other than being very cool, we could not see much of the views. Swimming is forbidden during this season because of the high waves and strong currents. We found the Omani people, as always, very welcoming and friendly wherever we went. It's best to plan all visits and excursions ahead of your trip.
Breakfast and dinner were exceptionally good and personalized. Because of the corona, we were the only tourists in the entire facility, but the entire staff took care of the two of us. The hotel itself is located in a suburb of Salalah, almost in the middle of nowhere, but the location is very convenient to get into town and is 8 minutes from the international airport. It consists of several buildings with some really big rooms and suites around the lawn with the pool. So you've a lot of privacy as well.
the hotel is situated on a beautiful stretch of a while sandy beach where you can walk for hours. it is beautifully designed with bridges and canals. the pool is great for lap swimming. a nice touch is refreshments and fruits around sunset for free. the staff are friendly, they gave us a late check out for 6pm since our flight was late at night which exceeded our expectations. we recommend this hotel as the place of choice in Salalah
Dear Koofan Heritage Lodge Team, thank you so much for the best welcoming and hospitality! Especially, many thanks to Suhebur Rahman, he is the best! Also, many thanks for Hammad, he is the best tour guide! We just fell in love with the Hotel and Salalah! Koofan Heritage Lodge is the most authentic and beautiful hotel! Definitely, 10 out of 10!
Best regards,
Anuar and Dinara
The location of the hotel can't be beat. Directly on the most beautiful beach in Salalah, steps from the water. The rooms were very spacious, you can fit a lot of people comfortably in them. Full kitchen, so can be a very inexpensive self catering holiday. Excellent value for the money. This was my second time staying here, and will stay again if/when I return to Salalah.
One of the best property to stay in salalah during khareef Seasons, staffs here were very sophesticated and friendly . Rooms were very spacious similar to Apartments best for family stay.
Especially thanks to Manisha sister for helping me out with my wrong entry in Booking.com and brother firas for kind omani guesture.
I will be coming back on august, see you all soon.
1.The hotel has photos for beaches but it doesn’t has beach front!!!
2. The breakfast poor and not healthy
They even did not provide fresh orange juice; they but bottled juice as fresh.
3. The restaurant staff looks upset servicing with out a single smile
especially Mr.Amier.
4. It’s rated 5 stars in reality it doesn’t not reach that rating it’s maximum 4 stars.
It was just the right size for us, we enjoyed the large livingroom/kitchen space. The beds were comfy and we were very happy to have a large dining table. The beach is absolutely gorgeous. The villa has a super patio where you can spend your evenings in the balmy Omani air looking at the small lagoon.
The owners are very responsive.
Everything is top notch. Clean, spacious, comfortable apartment. Fully furnished equipped with modern amenities. All facilities are there for a comfortable stay. 5 stars standards. The location is excellent, right in the middle of Salalah and walking distance to al-Haffa beach. Chapeau bas to staff and owner.
Very modern, beautiful and clean rooms for a valuable price in Salalah! The personal is very friendly and attentive. Parking infront of the hotel. My room was with a comfortable bed, fridge, a small tea kitchen and a TV. I felt very comfortable and can recommend the hotel.
staff are so friendly and helpful all of the times.. they are welcoming..also breakfast time they were so helpful with whatever you need..beside I love variety in breakfast..I do love visiting this hotel whenever I travel to Salalah..it is so convenient and quiet
I did not like anything and I regret reserving at that hotel for my family as well as my sister's family. I really ruined our vacation for both families. I did not visit Salalah for almost 6 years and we were happy to be there again after a long time.
I loved the room. Very spacious. It had an outer sitting room and an inner bedroom. What more do i need!
It's like more value for money. I strongly recommend this hotel.
I'll surely visit again any time i come to Salalah.
Everything was amazing, we loved the hotel's pool area, the beach and the private villa with pool - was possible to cast our phone to TV's in the room, and enjoy a really nice romantic weekend as a couple in privacy.
I found this hotel best option to stay in Salalah. Very clean and nice staff in reception and special thanks to Mr. Anwar for his welcome and support all time of our stay. Highly recommended with good price.
